Pillars
by Najla El Zein
Fragmented pillars, referring to an intimate sense of fragility.
Symbol of Lebanon’s recent history, and the current horrific war on the Syrian border. These ghostly-looking sculptures seem seem to form a destroyed city. Each pillar has its own personality. This is achieved simply by varying the angles of the stacked plaster elements.
